The Irony Of The Beautiful Game. By E.Ben

It was so surprising to see Roma overturned the deficit and ended up winning the game, who would have predicted or believed that things will play out this way? Football really is not a game you can boast fully predict. Champions league has seen one of the greatest comeback in history, it almost happened in the game between Madrid and Juventus, the old ladies springed up surprise they were leading Madrid in their own home 0-3 and I was like what is happening to the spanish football but the end came when buffon was handed a red card and a penalty was awarded to the home side which Ronaldo converted and gave the home side a guaranteed semi final place. Well I want to congratulate Roma for that emphatic display not leaving juve behind but to also applaud them also they deserve to win but the ref has the final judgement on issues around the pitch. Looking at liverpool display I'm beginning to tip them as the cup favourite. It will take more than a team to withstand this liverpool

Lionel Messi is the first player to score six direct free-kicks in a La Liga season since Ronaldinho in 2006-07 Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick as runaway leaders Barcelona equalled the La Liga record of 38 games unbeaten with victory over Leganes. Messi curled home a fantastic 30-yard free-kick before latching onto Philippe Coutinho's through ball to make it 2-0. Nabil el Zhar pulled one back but Messi scored from Ousmane Dembele's pass to complete a 45th career hat-trick. Barca, who are seven games from an unbeaten La Liga season, are now 12 points above Atletico Madrid. They equalled Real Sociedad's record of 38 matches unbeaten across 1978-79 and 1979-80 - and are now targeting becoming the first team to go unbeaten in a 38-game season in Spain's top flight. Atletico can narrow the gap back to nine points when they visit Real Madrid on Sunday (15:15 BST). Barca are next in action on Wednesday at Roma in the Champions League quarter-final second leg, de

Stoke frustrated their opponents before Eriksen fired Spurs into the lead from inside the penalty area after Dele Alli's pass. It was a good game but stock city really needs to find her bearing! Something is missing if you ask me, I can't believe the way they play some players play as if they don't pay them salary,i just cant imagine how a professional like Diouf with good opportunity to equalise a game and all of a sudden gave the ball to opponent I was like is this a joke? You are trailing and have almost 4 against 1 defender they could still not score! It shows how un-serious they are. They had hard luck against Arsenal I thought they have learn from this bad defensive style, it's not helping you stoke city it's just destroying your game! Hope you don't get relegated with it. If I may ask why would crouch be on the bench for such undetermined and unrealistic players? I think the coach has a big question to answer here. You don't keep a guy who knows

Anfield Too Hot For Etihad Boys

Anfield Too Hot For Etihad Boys! By E.Ben This is another mile stone for the reds! They were outstanding from the very minute to the last, Mancity was humiliated and destroyed by the tactical mindset Liverpool introduced in the game, it paid off and now they are one leg in to the semi final! What a game! Guadiola again failed to catch the invisible reds,he was stunned and humiliated and showed how to wow fans. Klop has thought him a lesson he will never forget. The invisible reds did not allow Mancity to play their game they took pressure to them and also absorb pressure when city tries to attack. It was mass attack mass defence! The boys were so clinical that even city could not believe it. This result have worked against the wish of many haven seen the form of city in the premier league they believe the contrary and the game has proved that football is not just a game that you judged base on league or season performance you can be beaten by any club if the club prepares to wi

Fantastic Ronaldo. By Ben Emmanuel Full time in Italy and spain Juventus 0-3 Real Madrid Sevilla 1-2 Bayern Another unforgettable night from this man.… CR7 he got a brace! It's like a done deal for the away side. On the other hand Bayern were lucky against a deadly sevilla side! How would this play out in the return leg when Juventus will be visiting Madrid for the 2nd leg? Will there be a spring of surprises from the Italian giants?after a disgraceful display at home, with their hit man"dybala"shown a red card?well in football Anything can happen! The sevilla game anything is possible all they need is just a goal to qualify to the next round but can they do it? That's a big question now if they can stop bayern from their free flow football and ensure they keep pressure off the defence area. They have to also take the game to them they must try to get an early goal  and quickly find a balance in the game. That's the way to kick bayern of the competiti
